The main symptom of premature ejaculation (PE) is an uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after penetration. This can also occur in all sexual situations and even during masturbation.

Uncontrolled ejaculation may happen in random or consistent occurrence. Many men may feel such symptom, but would not meet diagnostic criteria for PE. Boston Medical Group uses medically proven diagnostic examination, The Boston Method®., to determine actual condition of the patients.

PE can be classified either lifelong or acquired. Men, who suffer lifelong PE, experience premature ejaculation in most, if not all, sexual situations from their first encounter. On contrary, acquired PE develops after certain period of time without ejaculation problems.
